The TYMCO Model DST-6® is the industry's first full-sized dustless street sweeper. It combines TYMCO's Regenerative Air System with a patented filtration system, capturing a minimum of 95% of 0.30 micron and larger particles, far exceeding PM₁₀ requirements. Designed for efficiency in both wet and dry conditions, the DST-6 ensures optimal performance without the need to avoid puddles or adjust operations based on weather. Mounted on a highly maneuverable cabover standard truck chassis, it offers the versatility needed for various municipal and industrial applications.
Features
Broom Assist Pick-Up Head: The 87-inch wide pick-up head includes a broom for applications requiring additional agitation. The fast-rotating broom loosens packed-on debris, projecting it into the Regenerative Air stream for effective cleaning. In-cab controls allow the operator to engage or disengage the broom as needed.
Hopper: The DST-6 features a stationary hopper with a capacity of over 7.3 cubic yards and a usable capacity of over 6 cubic yards. This design eliminates the need for dumping cylinders and hoists, reducing maintenance and safety concerns.
DST System: The diverted air is filtered through TYMCO’s patented DST system, which includes a pre-cleaner and cartridge filters with a Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) 16 Rating, capturing a minimum of 95% of 0.30 micron and larger size particles. Both the pre-cleaner and cartridge filters are washable, ensuring long service life. The system operates efficiently in wet or dry conditions without operator adjustments.
Power Unit: Powered by a 99-horsepower John Deere auxiliary engine that drives all hydraulic functions through a gear-driven pump and directly belt drives the blower wheel.
Blower Wheel: Utilizes a natural rubber-coated aluminum blower wheel, which is abrasion-resistant and reduces fuel consumption due to its lightweight design.
Gutter Brooms: Equipped with large 43-inch diameter gutter brooms with in-cab controls, allowing the operator to adjust speed and tilt to reach into the deepest gutters. A pressure-sensing sequence valve automatically determines the digging pressure needed for different debris, maximizing broom bristle life and cleaning performance.
Dust Control: Incorporates a high-efficiency multi-pass cylindrical centrifugal dust separator for maximum particulate separation and sweeping performance. Designed for easy clean-out and maintenance. Onboard 220 gallons of water are available for dust control around the gutter brooms and inside the hopper. In below-freezing conditions, the sweeper continues dustless operation without using water.
Rear View Camera: A rear view back-up camera with an in-cab display allows the operator to view the area behind the Model DST-6 while backing up, providing additional safety and peace of mind. Additional cameras are available to view the pick-up head and gutter brooms.

Gutter Broom Drop Down: Allows gutter brooms to "drop down" in front of the pick-up head for scrubbing packed-on material.
Hi/Low Pressure Washdown System: Provides flexibility in cleaning operations.
Light Bar, Cab Mounted, LED: Enhances visibility and safety during operation.
Low Emissions Package: Required for compliance with certain environmental regulations.
Magnet (Light Duty): Front bumper mounted for picking up metallic debris.
