The TYMCO Model 500x® is a high-performance street sweeper that combines the proven reliability of the Model 600® with advanced features, including multiplex electronics and the industry's highest dumping hopper lift assembly. Designed for versatility, it efficiently handles state highways, city streets, and post-milling operations. The Model 500x® utilizes the high-efficiency, time-tested TYMCO Regenerative Air System to deliver exceptional sweeping performance. With a fast dump cycle of less than 68 seconds and an 11-foot dump height, it offers unmatched efficiency in high dump sweeping operations.
Features
Broom Assist Pick-Up Head (BAH®): Incorporates full-width air blast and suction, working seamlessly with the TYMCO Regenerative Air System to collect a wide variety of street debris. The BAH is controlled by the operator in the cab, allowing broom-assisted sweeping only when needed.
Hopper and Chute: The hopper has a capacity of over 5.7 cubic yards, ensuring a payload of over 6,000 lbs. All hopper body sheets and the hopper screen are fabricated with low carbon, high chrome stainless steel for longevity and easier cleanout.
Hopper Lift Assembly: Features a 10,000 lb lift capacity with self-lubricating pivots that never require greasing. Integral counterbalance holding valves ensure controlled lowering of the lift assembly, and dual stabilizers automatically deploy before the dump cycle begins, assuring unit stability.
Gutter Broom: The 43” diameter gutter brooms remove debris from curbs, gutters, and around obstacles. An optional tilt adjuster allows for reaching into the deepest curbs or gutters. The gutter broom automatically retracts upon encountering an immovable object and returns to its original position once passed.
Dust Control: Equipped with a high-efficiency centrifugal dust separator for maximum fine dust particulate separation, providing excellent dust control while using less water. The system includes water spray nozzles for dust suppression and a 250-gallon polyethylene reservoir.
Power Unit: Powered by a 115-horsepower John Deere auxiliary engine that drives the blower and all hydraulic functions through three direct-driven hydraulic pumps. The single-speed auxiliary engine reduces wear and conserves fuel by maintaining a constant speed.
Blower Wheel: Utilizes a super-efficient aluminum alloy blower that is self-cleaning and reduces fuel consumption due to its lightweight design requiring less horsepower. The blower is designed to work with the TYMCO Regenerative Air System to both push and pull air, delivering enhanced sweeping performance.
Rear View Camera: A rear view back-up camera with an in-cab display allows the operator to view the area behind the Model 500x while backing up, providing additional safety and peace of mind. Additional cameras are available to view the pick-up head and gutter brooms. TYMCO Sweepers
BlueLogic® Control System: A multiplexed electrical system that integrates in-cab controls to the auxiliary engine and all sweeper functions. It provides intelligent safety features and on-board diagnostics (OBD) through a pedestal-mounted touchscreen display.

Low Emissions Package: Required for compliance with certain environmental regulations.
Magnet (Light, Standard, or Heavy Duty): For picking up metallic debris.
