Marathon® Galaxy® 2R two-ram wide model recycling balers feature a full-penetration compaction ram to produce high-density bales. The programmable PLC controller features automatic and manual controls, diagnostics, and bale set-up functions. The baler controller allows the user to easily switch between recyclable materials. Adding the optional metals package makes the Galaxy 2R wide recycling baler model adaptable for certain scrap applications.
The Galaxy 2R wide-model recycling balers feature a multi-purpose door that can serve as a bale separator, bale release, or bale clamp. It also allows for variable bale widths. The Galaxy 2R wide-model balers also come with components such as a high-efficiency power unit, adjustable shear beam, replaceable and reversible shear blades, and main ram and ejector-ram laser positioning.
Features
Full-Penetration Compression Ram: Ensures the production of high-density bales.
Programmable PLC Controller: Color touch-screen interface with automatic/manual controls, diagnostics, and bale set-up functions; available with multi-language support.
Multi-Purpose Door: Functions as a bale separator, bale release, and bale clamp; allows for variable bale widths.
High-Efficiency Power Unit: Available from 2×30 HP up to 2×100 HP; includes TEFC motor, flooded suction pumping system, high-flow hydraulic manifold, 10-micron filtration system, pressure and current transducers, separate cooling and tier circuit, and air-to-oil cooler.
Adjustable Shear Beam: Allows adjustment of shear blades from the exterior of the machine.
Replaceable and Reversible Shear Blades: Ram shear blade is replaceable and reversible; body shear blade is serrated, adjustable, and replaceable.
Reinforced Honeycomb Structure: Heavy-duty design for maximum performance.
Laser Positioning System: Controls main ram, ejector ram, and multi-purpose door; tie positioning determined by laser, eliminating the need for a counter wheel.
Options
Metals Package: Adapts the baler for certain scrap processing and recycling applications.
Automatic Anti-Jamming System: Optional stamper activates automatically in Auto Mode to help prevent shear jams, reducing downtime and enhancing safety.
Hopper Monitoring System: High-definition camera and monitor to detect non-compliant material and contamination.
Conveyor Controls with VFD or Motor Starter: Provides variable speed control for the conveyor belt, enhancing operational flexibility.
Oil Heater: Allows for continuous use of the machine even in extreme temperature conditions.
Tongue-and-Groove Floor: Enhances structural integrity and durability.
